Submission Guidlines for the 11th Annual Readers Theatre

 

Submissions accepted until September 30, 2015.

Theatre Southwest is accepting scripts for our 11th annual Reader's Theatre. The best scripts will be chosen and given staged readings on November 22th. At the end of the readings, the audience will vote for their favorite and the winner will receive a $100 "thank you." There is no entry fee.

Below are the submission guidelines:
  • Scripts may be no more than 10 minutes in length.

  • All entries should be previously unpublished.

  • Monologues are accepted

  • You may submit no more than 2 plays.

  • Number all pages of the scripts.

  • List all characters with a brief character description.

  • A Summary of the play (a paragraph is fine) is required.

  • Scripts can not be returned.

  • Authors must provide email and address information.

  • You may not email your script.

Did You Know?

On the third Wednesday of every month Theatre Southwest holds it's monthly Membership meeting. Far from a tedious recap of the monthly business (oh, there's some of that, but only the necessary stuff) we entertain our members with either a scene from the show currently in rehearsal, or a workshop scene directed and rehearsed by our members. The public is welcome, so please attend. We would love to see you there.
